Sticker Materials & Finishes

The material can change a sticker almost as much as the artwork. Some designs just need really good glossy vinyl. Others work better matte, clear, holographic or metallic. And sometimes appearance matters less than getting something that sticks harder and takes more abuse.

We keep the choices fairly simple on purpose. If you are not sure where to start, choose Premium. It is our laminated all-round sticker and the one we would pick for most designs.

A bit more about the choices

Premium

Our default recommendation. Glossy, laminated vinyl made for everyday use indoors and out. If you have no special requirements and simply want really good stickers, start here.

Matte

A softer finish with less glare and fewer reflections. Good for illustrations, typography and designs where the artwork should get more attention than the shine.

Transparent

Clear vinyl lets the surface underneath become part of the design. Especially useful on glass, bottles, packaging and anywhere a white sticker background would get in the way.

Holographic

The rainbow effect is built into the material and changes with the light and viewing angle. Leave parts of the artwork open and let the holographic surface become part of the design.

Glitter

The shimmer sits in the material itself rather than being simulated in the print. Use it where you want selected parts of the artwork to catch the light.

Silver & Gold Chrome

These use reflective metallic surfaces underneath the print, giving you an actual mirror-like metal effect rather than a gray or yellow imitation.

Indoor

Our simpler, lower-cost option. Thin and unlaminated for packaging, giveaways and other dry, protected environments where extra outdoor protection is unnecessary.

Heavy Duty

For harder use, more demanding surfaces and jobs where stronger adhesion matters. Available with glossy or matte finish.

Material and shape are separate choices

Your sticker can be holographic and die-cut, matte and round, or transparent and square. The material controls how the sticker looks and behaves; the cut controls its shape.
